Privacy Policy

Kitloop (“we”, “us”) runs a public map and directory of bike-rental shops across Japan at kitloop.app. This page explains what data is involved when you use the site. We keep it deliberately minimal: Kitloop has no user accounts and we do not ask you for personal information.

What we collect

• No accounts, no forms. We do not run sign-ups, logins, or contact forms. If you email us (via the “Contact” link) we receive whatever you put in that email, and nothing more.
• No first-party analytics. Kitloop itself does not set tracking cookies or run an analytics script.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider may keep basic access logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.

Maps

The interactive map is provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, and — only if you tap the “my location” button and grant permission — your device’s location for the duration of that session. We do not store your location. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Kitloop shows ads to keep the directory free. When advertising is served by Google AdSense:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Kitloop and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of a third party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Links to other sites

Shop cards link out to third-party websites, Instagram profiles and Google Maps listings. Once you follow such a link, the destination’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of external sites.

Children

Kitloop is a general-audience travel resource and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
